Driftwood No. 3

Driftwood No. 3

Created at Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, Georgia.

These driftwood-like trees once grew along the shore. As the waves eroded the land away, salt water inundated the trees' roots and bleached their bark. It is hard for me to think of these ghostly trees as dead - they incite such awe and delight in visitors (including myself).
