East is an ongoing series focused on documenting the fragments of old East Austin. This project is still in its infancy - my wish is for it to someday grow into a larger collection connecting people and stories.

 

Through these initial photos I’ve found myself contending with themes of nostalgia, change, and what it means to be a documentarian as well as a gentrifier.
